Panama City, Panama —As the world faces an unprecedented loss of biodiversity, the Animal Welfare Institute (AWI), joined by about 60 other animal protection and conservation organizations, helped secure significant progress for wildlife at the 19th meeting of the Conference of the Parties (CoP) to the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES) in Panama City, Panama, last month.
